Dr. Ing has been a Wing Chun practitioner for 22 years. He began as a10 year old child
studying under his late uncle Lawrence Ing. Wing Chun is an old martial art style that
originated in the southern part of China over 1100 years ago. The technique reflects
a close range combat system that requires less space to become effective than other
forms of martial arts. It uses hand trapping and rapid punches to overwhelm the
opponent. Dr. Ing’s particular style is exclusive to his family. His is the UMAA Wing
Chun competition organizer for the Midwest in addition to being the President of the
Shadow Palm Martial Arts association.
